The 2015 campaign focuses on thanking blood donors who save lives every day through their blood donations. Highlighting stories from people whose lives have been saved through blood donation, the aim is to encourage more people all over the world to donate blood regularly, using the slogan “Give freely, give often. Blood donation matters.”

What this means to you

Have you ever donated blood? More importantly, have you (or anyone you know) ever urgently needed a blood transfusion? It can happen on an operating table, during a difficult delivery or as the result of an accident.
