Exercising during pregnancy may improve your baby’s brain

Exercising can become tiresome, especially if you’re pregnant, but it’s important that you continue to exercise throughout your pregnancy, as it has numerous health benefits for both you and your baby.
According to a new study, moderate exercise such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, yoga and cycling during pregnancy could improve the brain of your unborn child. Cross-Fit for pregnant women is also good if you’re looking for a more intensive workout, however it’s very important that you speak to your doctor first before starting any new exercise programme.

“It has been documented that pregnant women who lead a normal life, exercise and eat a balanced diet have better pregnancy outcomes,” said Dr Raul Artal.

So next time you think you get a free pass from exercising during your pregnancy, think again. Putting in some extra effort while you’re pregnant can help improve the health of your child.
