Help, my baby has sunburn!

If your baby is under the age of 6 months they shouldn't be exposed to direct sunlight. If they are older than 6 months it's vital that you keep them protected from the sun - make sure they wear a high SPF sunblock specially formulated for delicate skin, and cover their skin with protective clothing. Babies and infants have incredibly sensitive skin, and sunburn easily, so take care. (more…)

The year of the gigantic babies

In November 2013, the story of one of the world’s biggest new-born babies broke – a mother in Shanghai, China had delivered a 6.17kg bundle of joy. All doctors had to say in the short story was that the baby may suffer from obesity and associated conditions later in life. When asked, the mother said she’d eaten a lot of fruit during her pregnancy.
