Bubonic plague reported in Chinese City

It reads like something out of a movie: “bubonic plague causes entire cities to be closed off to stop illness from spreading!” But this isn’t a movie, it’s real, and it’s happened in Yumen – a city in China. Situated in the north-western province of Gansu, parts of Yumen have been sealed off and 151 people are in quarantine after a 38 year old man died of bubonic plague last week.
