How to be your own first love

Think of how you treat your significant other or best friend. You buy them gifts. You cheer them up when they’re feeling down. You encourage them, remind them of their best qualities, and hold their hand through any hardship. Now ask yourself, are you treating yourself the way you’re treating your loved ones? If not, something needs to change. Loving yourself might seem egotistical, but it’s very important.
